The Thesis and Dissertation Competition in Information Security and Computer Systems (CTDSeg), an event that is part of the Brazilian Symposium on Information Security and Computer Systems (SBSeg), aims to select and reward the best doctoral theses and the best master's dissertations in defended in Brazil. CTDSeg will be held remotely in conjunction with SBSeg 2020, during the week of October 13-16, 2020, and will award the three best theses and the three best dissertations related to any topic in the area of Information Security and Computer Systems.
Researchers should submit an article describing and summarizing the results obtained in their theses and dissertations completed from July 2018 to June 2020. The author must make clear the contribution of the work to the area and its originality. The text must include, necessarily, the title of the thesis or dissertation, names of the author and supervisor (and co-supervisors, if any) with the respective affiliations, summary and abstract, motivations, objectives, results obtained, associated scientific production and the web address where the thesis or dissertation is available. The article must be formatted following the SBC article template available at link and respect the limit of 8 pages. Each submitted paper must contain three files (in PDF format): article, digitized statement of the conclusion and thesis or dissertation. The declaration must state explicitly that the candidate defended and had the work approved. The declaration must also contain the place, the date of the defense, the name of the supervisor and the board.
As this edition of SBSeg will be completely remote, all authors of accepted articles will need to record a video with their presentation to be shown during the technical session on the day of the event. This recording will be made available to SBSeg participants. The virtual presence of the author during their respective remote technical session will also be required to answer questions from the CTDSeg audience. These will be mandatory requirements for the publication of the respective article.
